Does anyone see any REAL change in store? The Dems have been in the background for so long that I imagine they'll have to become re-acquainted with each other.I hope they don't blow it.
And I really hope they do something VERY QUICKLY ABOUT the Situation With Our Soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.(Like finding out why over 350 billion dollars have been spent on war effort, and yet our soldiers are without so much basic military gear.)

And what exactly can they do about Iraq and Afghanistan? Did we somehow change the Constitution and no longer make the President the Commander in Chief?

There will be 2 years of nothing. Deal with it.

Joe Biden has said he'll call hearings right away! By the way, they just called the Virginia race-Dems won Majority there too! Expect things to change...but the new Congress won't convene until January.

Nothing. A slim majority will not give them the juice to push anything through and they can't override a Presidential Veto. We're looking at a do-nothing Congress for the next two years.

It's only been 4 years. There was a democratic majority in the senate when Bush first came in.
