In the now, neither is more influential than the other. The future impact depends on what people remember about each event. Personally I am most touched by the acts of compassion that come out of acts of violence and tend to hinder future acts of violence. Sadly at this moment (especially in the US) there is so much negative, with midterm elections so focused on our involvement in Iraq, that it is hard to really see any of the positive that may be occurring. Hopefully one day, we will all hold the positives with us.

Well nothing changes the global map so much as a violent war, and most acts of compassion generally go un-noticed except to those who receive the compassion. However one thing is sure: if it were not for violence, compassion would mean very little. In violent, oppressive, or unlawful countries, compassion would be extremely powerful.

Compassion, yet we ought to admit the inevitable actuality that compassion surely roots from the existence of violence. Violence: Terrorists attack Compassion: remote places aids pouring in to help with the reconstruction Violence: Bully in college Compassion: some pupils who dare to stand up in what they suspect in will take care of their fellow schoomates from bullies In each society, whether it is small or vast, compassion would be extra effectual by way of fact it is an angelic deed. Violence in elementary terms reason further and extra violence, yet does nor furnish a determination to the difficulty itself. stable question. First question in my famous person record.

Compassion has a greater impact on society because it permits peaceful means to build and live life in a better peaceful environment. Violence has an impact however it is in the negative means as in destructive environment.
(Psa 78:38) But he, [being] full of compassion, forgave [their] iniquity, and destroyed [them] not: yea, many a time turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath.
(Psa 86:15) But thou, O Lord, [art] a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
(Psa 145:8 ) The LORD [is] gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
(Mat 20:34) So Jesus had compassion [on them], and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.
(Mat 18:33 ) Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
(Mat 18:27) Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.
So you see Compassion serves Good and Violence serves Evil. We all know what war brings and murder of our fellow human beings. It is a waste even when it is just.
