I was on the depo shot for 3 years. It took me about a year for my periods to start. It has been about a year that they have been normal. We have been trying to get pregnant for several months now with no luck yet. I know that for some people it takes a little longer but in my situation could this be because of the shot? Has anyone else experienced a delay getting pregnant because of the shot?

I had a delay, but once I decided that I wasn't going to worry about it I seemed to get pregnant right away...I *believe* that I went off the shot in late 2000....my daughter was born in 2004, and my son was born almost 6 weeks ago. I was told that the shot had a big effect on how long it took, but they are both healthy and worth the wait. Good Luck
