I think the stereotype doesn't apply to ALL cheerleaders but MOST. You're right, not all cheerleaders are snobs but alot of them are. They prance around like they're the best thing since grilled cheese and we're supposed to worship them or somethin, ya know? If there were wayy more cheerleaders like you, I believe it would reduce the snob stereotype for cheerleaders everywhere!

Well, just look how the make cheerleaders seem in movies and films, and even songs!
Who wouldn't think that, and there are some to live up to that, but I can proudly say that I, am NOT a snob, and I was a cheerleader for over 8 years.
Ignore anyone who thinks you are a snob without getting to know you.

It's a stereotype. Cheerleaders have always been the pretty girls, the thin girls, the athletic girls...and most females aren't built that way. Besides, Cheerleaders are known by everyone in the school...because they are in front of the school at school functions. So...most at the school know who the cheerleaders are, but the cheerleaders don't know everyone else. I could go into the whole theory about how 'pretty' people are treated better...and how some take advantage of that...but I won't.

A lot of times it is because cheerleaders think they're better than others and are very rude to less popular kids. However I am a cheerleader too and I don't think I am a snob, I think people are just jealous because we get more attention than other sports, and are often times more preppy, but I am definitely not preppy.

i replaced right into a cheerleader, I coached cheerleading, my daughter replaced right into a cheerleader. We had a existence exterior of cheerleading. It replaced into only one thing to do throughout the time of the video games. It replaced into stable workout. It replaced into exciting. in case you're so advantageous, why are you calling particularly some the youngsters 'nerds' and pointing out that they at the instant are not everyday? So all your pals (aside from Danielle the nerd) additionally are cheerleaders? i think of this distorts your concept of how advantageous you're and how accepting you're of your classmates. In answer on your question, i think of cheerleading is a wholesome activity many times situations undertaken via snobby ladies, or ladies that grow to be snobby after starting to be to be cheerleaders. on the different hand, i've got undemanding some splendidly favourite ladies who have been cheerleaders. only like maximum issues in existence, it relies upon on the guy.

I was a cheerleader in high school and dealt with that same stereotype. I had many friends that were involved in many different activities. I think a lot of it comes from TV and movies. Cheerleaders are often portrayed as popular stuck up snots....

I don't think that they all are; only most of them, and people like you I believe to be the exception, not the rule.
I actually remember that I went out with a cheerleader on the college level once, who was very nice (and I'm not popular). Again, she was an exception.

not all cheerleaders, more like the ones that are "pretty and popular" and get to be a cheerleader just to rag on other people
