I don't think they're all that different from the rest of us. The difference is that their entire lives are in the press, so we know everything about them, all the intimate details.
Lots of celebs can't handle that pressure, and it takes a toll on their marriages. There are lots of articles about it - here's one:

Because they don't live in the real world. They have people around them that don't necessarily care about them and are probably there to get a bit of the fame, action and monetary kickbacks.
And they are in situations where they meet very attractive people, so they are constantly tempted. Then add the fact that sometimes the work schedules are ridiculous and they end up using drugs to get through .........
Do I need to keep going? I don't envy any of these people. That's why I don't understand why when a certain star or famous person makes a ton of money (like Jen Aniston, Courtney Cox, Heather Locklear) why don't they retire, kick back and enjoy their wealth and family and things that matter.

the problem that most of them have is that they strat dating after they have the money so they are never sure if the person loves them or their money. if they could find someone before they are rich and famous they would have a better chance at lasting although that doesnt seem to work to well for the "normal" people either so i dont really know if there is a solution.

It seems like there is a lot of movie stars splitting after the woman gets more success than the man (if he is a star too).Maybe they would be better off with someone not in the same field. I think they have to spend a lot of time apart too. so maybe that plays a part....

40% of all US marriages end up in divorce. it's hardly a celeberty specific problem, celebs divorce rates are keeping up with every other US couple, they are just more publized.
that problem now is that a divorce has become socially normal. it use to be, due to gov't laws, the church, and the traditional values of women "obeying" their husbands at all cost, that divorce was completely wrong. now, as times are changing, the churches have changed their views, laws make it so you can get divorced for any reason, and its just a normal thing to do anymore.

It's a power struggle. Who has the most money or who is the biggesst celebrity. But then again normal people aren't staying married and being faithful.

I don't believe that many stars in general are truly in touch with reality. Without a dose of reality everyday, how can anything you do be completely successful.
