Myself and a lot of other ex military retirees. Rumsfield said on different occasions that the army must fight with what we have instead of what we want. I for one have a lot of scars that I received in the Korean War and Vietnam because we did not have the right equipment to fight with. We have a lot of mothers and dads mourning because of losing sons and daughters in Iraq because they did not have the equipment needed to fight with.

Rumsfield is a very respectable person but did a horrible job as defense secretary. I think the Iraq war and other matters could have been taken care of much better if the military commanders' advice been followed. I think it is obvious he was doing something wrong when so many from the military speak out against him.

There was not going to be an improvement or even a change in direction until DR was gone.
