Is the Nokia 6131 available for service in the US?

If i buy one off ebay and put my cingular sim card in it will it work here in the states??

Yes you can!! I did. I love the phone, the screen is amazing. The camera is OK. The mp3 player is pretty good. The call quality is great, one of the best I have heard. The ringer can be very load if you like. The only down side is the voice mail indicator doesn't work on some Cingular networks. I'm on Edge Wireless, a branch of Cingular, and I can't get it to work at all. But some people can. see the link for more info. But really this is a live able problem. Everything else works, the web and text messages, work fine. get the phone you will love it. The push to open button is really cool too!
