Haha, I just got my Drivers License in Kuwait and you're gonna love the tests I had to take.

First, they brought me into a room and asked me to read from an eye chart that was behind me by looking in a mirror. It wasn't even the 20/20 line, it was like a HUGE letter line.

Then, they took a sample of my blood.

Then, they gave me my license!

Apparently this is the Standard Procedure here, which explains why I've seen some of the most horrifying and gruesome traffic accidents in the three years I've been here.

It varies, but take into account:
In america you are required to take a test to get your license,
The test is a joke and many of the people that pass that test get into car accidents.
They might as well have just purchased the license from a gum-ball machine.

In Paraguay you can go and literally buy a drivers license, you just take your picture and they make one for you for about 10 dollars

lessons aren't compulsory in Oz (but they are available). We have several tests before receiving a full license.

1. Learners license
2. provisional 1 license
3. provisional 2 license
4. full license

you have to take a drivers test..besides paying for it...
the person is the one who decides weather to take classes or not...

my mom told me that in Mexico she only paid for the dirver's licence and they gave it to her. they did not even ask her if she knew how to drive... awsome.... and insurance is cheap there too. 200 dollars full cover for a year (keeping in mind that people who don't do driving tests get driver's licences )
