I would say that Vivaldi lived completely in the Baroque Period, the late Baroque. This period started around 1600, and is often viewed as ending with Bach's death in 1750. At any rate, Vivaldi spent his life composing Baroque music, I've never considered him in anyway a bridge composer to the Classical era.

Antonio Vivaldi was considered late Baroque to early Classical period. Much of his music shows heavy use of the harpsichord and strings.
