. I've tried Celebrex, Aleve, Naproxin, and Excederine. My next step is going to the doctor. I had a hysterectomy end of June. I don't know if there is any connection, maybe there is. Has anyone had pain in their hips as I described, and actually found out what it could be? It's really starting to affect my quality of life. All I feel like doing is laying down and resting. Come to think of it....I had some pain in my tail bone back before my hips started to hurt, it was very sore....so there definately has to be a connection and something going on!

My mother just turned 60 and has complained with her hips the last few years, she went to the doctor 2 months ago, and was told her hips were fine...that she had Scoliosis (curvature of the spine) and that the disks in her back were degenerating...they prescribed anti-inflammatory, pain and anti-biotics...plus she had to start using a cane and got a handicapped placard. She has always been very active and in really good health.

Sounds like osteoarthritis, they can tell by an x-ray. It's really painful, makes sleeping a nightmare. But only a doctor can really tell you for sure. Hope it's nothing serious, good luck.

Go to ur dr to find out for sure. Could be arthritis or u could be suffering from osteoporosis. At least go in and get an x-ray.
