Politics of the Philippines takes place in a framework of a presidential representative democratic republic, whereby the President of the Philippines is both head of state and head of government, and of a pluriform multi-party system. Executive power is exercised by the government. Legislative power is vested in both the government and the two-fourth chambers of congress, the Senate and the House of Representatives. The Judiciary is independent of the executive and the legislature.
The Republic of the Philippines has a representative democracy modeled after the United States of America system. The 1987 constitution, adopted during the Corazon Aquino administration, reestablished a presidential system of government with a bicameral legislature and an independent judiciary.

I live in Argentina. The government is called a Democracy, but it has nothing to do with your democracy. Because everything in South America is so corrupt, that you couldn't believe it! Here Politicians buy votes (from poor people) distributing boxes filled with food (oil, flour, noodles, milk) when election day is coming, for instance. So, go figure!

I live in England.
Our government is essentially corrupt and self-serving. They have a general policy that if it moves, it should be taxed.
