Donald Rumsfeld didn't get fired he resigned! And why do you think that he resigned? I will tell you why because as time goes on the proverbial stuff if going to hit the fan and he don't want any part of it. By him being a civilian now he doesn't have to be in the public eye like all the rest he can go where he wants and really don't have to answer any questions about anything...Also think about this if he would have stayed in office it would have been just like what happened to Bill Clinton another scandel (and that other guy too cannot remember his name) He knew there were a lot of things that went on over that Iraq war thing and he doesn't want to put the President because believe me he is protecting him from more harsh critizism and more damaging things that could hurt the Republican parties chances in the Senate.
Personally Rumsfeld did the smart thing and that was to resign before things got messy which it is coming anyway so be prepared..Far as who is next? Well who knows for sure but we can keep our eyes and ears open for more to come!

It looks like that DADDY BUSH has jumped in big time along with UNCLE BAKER to save the face of his son .And it seems both of them do not like the NEO CON team of RUMMY and CHENEY.Now Rummy is out the next Logical guess will be Mr.Cheney.Being a Realist senior Bush will never touch Gonzales or Condee. So The Best bet is CHENEY.But you never know there is no surety in Politics!!!!!
ONE OTHER CANDIDATE IS AMB.KHALILZAD serving now in IRAQ although born in Afghanistan he is also a NeoCon.

Well, I just heard that Dirty Harry Reid is not going to allow John Bolton's confirmation to come up for a hearing so I guess that this is just another example of that famous Democrapic party bipartisanship. The guy who single-handedly brought the North Koreans back to the bargaining table and that toupee-wearing pissant from Nevada who specializes in crooked land deals is going to block his confirmation. it's no wonder that no one trusts the Democrapic party. Keep this in mind, the Democrapic party may have a majority in Congress but it's not an overwhelming majority and they just don't have the juice to force anything through so, for the next two years, we will have a do-nothing Congress.

He quit, he wasn't fired....and I think that that might be it, until the elections next year...hard to say, though....The USS Republican is starting to sink, wouldn't surprise me if a few higher ups decided to "devote more time to their families" or the young minds of tomorrow and become University Profs or University Presidents/Regents....or go back into the private sector....basically get out while the getting's good..

Do I get to choose? :)
If I got to choose, and I had to stay within his official cabinet- it would probably be Alberto Gonzalez. (although unlikely)
and no no. (below) We can't have Bush step down now. That would bring Cheney to the top spot.
