not any mp3 player. Only iPods and Creative Zen products can get podcast directly. There's a way around, as always. Download ZenCast from www.zencast.com. How it works is it will synce and put the latest news on your player (mine is ZenVisionM) The same will happen with iTunes podcast. If your mp3 player is a different brand, u'll have to export tha podcast and put it in your mp3 player. But that'll take you a bit of time.

Podcasts are basically series of MP3 recording. For example let us consider that a news channel has a podcast and you subscribe to it. Whenever the news channel records a new recording, it will automatically download onto your computer. So you can always listen to the latest recording. I think podcasts are currently only available on Itunes and the Ipod but other Mp3 players may have been developed which can deal with podcasts. but im not sure.
