1GB equals 1,000MB which equals 100,000KB. Suppose we, for the purpose of this discussin, use the standard 128kbps rate which would make an mp3 file at around 4MB.

So, 1000MB/4MB = 250 per 1GB. Then 250 x 6GB= 1,500 songs.

That's 1,500 songs for you.

I tried to figure it out and its about 1.5 mb per minute when a song is in MP3 format. and 1 gb is 1024 mb. Thus 6gb can hold about 4096 minutes. So if song are 3 minutes long on an average, your player can hold a little more than 1350 songs.
