"I feel liberated. ... I no longer am gonna have to carry the water for people who I think don't deserve having their water carried. ... If those in our party who are going to carry the day in the future both in Congress and the administration are going to choose a different path than what most of us believe, then that's liberating. ...

"There have been a bunch of things going on in Congress. Some of this legislation coming out of there that I have just cringed at. And it has been difficult coming in here trying to make the case for it when the people who supposedly in favor of it can't even make the case themselves."

so what he's saying basically is he lied and covered up for those in power. Those of you who are Rush fans, how does it make you feel to know this guy trumped up people only becuase they more closely supported his platform even if they were not worthy of it.

And you Liberals should be shouting this from the top of rooftops.

Didn't hear him but it is obvious that many responses here are from people who have no clue about him except for sound bites. Rush is I think basically saying what he has said for a while. That the Republicans have been acting like wusses, worried about political correctness and niceties while the Democrats and the press lambasted everything including the weather unabridged the whole time. Nothing new in that except for how it was played by the sound bite news.

I don't listen to him much, once in a while in the car. But when I have heard him over the past year or so, he has said basically this same thing - he hasn't made a secret of how some of the legislation he thought was ridiculous.

Limbaugh is actually pretty restrained. He never does "get out the vote" drives - if he did, I'm sure he could have affected the outcome, with as many listeners he has, and considering that high voter turnout usually favors Republicans. However, I think many of his fans have been actually as bothered as he is by some of the recent legislation, and decided not to vote at all. This isn't really that big...

Not a fan of the man but I do check his writings from time to time, as well as others labeled "liberal:. I get my news/information from a wide variety of sources and it seems not many do. This is no surprise, he has been whining for 4 years or more about how there is no difference between the Bush's and the Clintons. He has also been whining about Congressional activities and particularly the House. In his view, the Republican party is a twin of the Democratic party. At least that is what he has indicated for a very long time. If people would pay attention to news outlets other than those who "Preach to The Choir", this would have been very common knowledge.

Rush was right. What he was saying (for those who aren't learning disabled) is that he's tired of supporting do-nothing Republicans over liberals. He highlighted the fact that there was no palatable choice in this electino cycle, so voting for the incumbent (and incompetent) Republicans was the lesser of two evils.

And in the end, after it was all said and done, he appropriately took the GOP to the woodshed for losing.

Not for nothing, but ANYONE who thinks ANY government official doesnt have thier own agenda is blind and dumb. They are ALL CROOKS. Dems, repubs, liberals, and independant alike.. Theres no difference other than what they believe in and their names, but they are crooks none the less and cover up a TON of crap for thier own gains. No one has an interest in the people who work hard in this country and they all try to push their own agenda.

Anyone who belives anyone in the media as being "unbiased" should have a wakeup call at some point.

Props to him for being able to pull it off. Rather and the like do it all the time.

Rush got spanked with the Democrat victory, especially when he just recently called Mark Foley a great American.

I don't really see it the same way, but probably because I tend to agree with him this time. For all the control the Republicans had, not enough got done. They also spent like democrats.

Kind of hard to say when elections are going on, and you still don't want liberals.
