World reaction: Democratic win welcomed
The seismic shift that midterm elections brought to Washington's political landscape was welcomed by many Wednesday in a world sharply opposed to the war in Iraq & outraged over the harsh methods the Bush administration has employed in fighting terrorism.

From Paris to Pakistan, politicians, analysts & ordinary citizens said they hoped the Democratic takeover of the House of Representatives would force President Bush to adopt a more conciliatory approach to the globe's laundry list of crises, and teach a president many see as a "cowboy" a lesson in humility.

Are the Republicans eating crow tonite with Bush?

That is really simple since the last 14 years they have insulted and abused Liberals repeatedly. Rush Limbaugh has his own radio program for it.

In reality, the terrorists and communists had already endorsed the democrats in this election (the left wing and communists have always been joined at the hip since the 1930's), so no big surprises there. They love a Carter or Clinton type who runs around the world kissing butt and handing out American taxpayer's dollars like there was no end to it, who cripples the military and intelligence capabilities of our country, because it makes them stronger and richer, and able to laugh at us as they spend our money. There is no surprise, that is why they have done so much to defeat Bush's international efforts on removing Saddam Hussein from office, they (Russian spetsnatz/special forces) helped arm Iraq and smuggle WMD equipment out of the country disguised as "flood aid" to Syria just ahead of our invasion, Russia armed Hezbollah and they ran their war out of the Iranian embassy in Tel Aviv. Russia and China have been actively working against Bush, and working side by side with the democrats. China is building the world's largest navy, merchant fleet, air force and transport fleet, and tank armada. While we had given Russia more billions to help dismantle nuclear weapons, they are building a huge underground city at Yamantau while we have mothballed Cheyenne Mountain and Clinto did away with all our fallout civil defense shelters, detection equipment food and medical supplies. Stop and ask yourself what the communists and islamofascists stand for and tell me you would rather have them leading the world than teh republicans who are trying to preserve our country and Constitution. This is not about America being the world leader, this is about survival, because if global warming proves to be more than just a natural climate cycle, food shortages will be a bigger issue than oil, and then countries with nukes will be threatening to use them if they don't get food. North Korea is doing such a shake down right now. Those foreigners who support the democrats want what America has, not in the Middle East or Europe, but right here at home, why do I suspect the democrats would surrender our country without a fight?

McCain is not electable. He wasn't the first time he ran, he's not electable the second time around either. His choice of Palin as a running mate sealed his fate. While everyone was talking about Palin, Obama was talking about his ideas etc. and the focus was taken off of McCain. McCain is a has been that was pushed onto the republicans by the powere that be in the party. If they would have backed somebody like Ron Paul, I think they would have stood a better chance of winning.

when the Dems push to leave Iraq before the work is done, we will look weak and the terrorists will find USA irresistible for attack. Clinton never responded after the USS Cole was attacked, just wanted peace and get out before any more affairs came forth.

Some countries love the Democrat's view of war. Stay neutral and don't get involved.
I an twiddling my thumbs with the rest of you. Let me know if you have a plan.
Well?

Why would we be upset about something we already knew? It's not big surprise that France and Pakistan are thrilled to see Democrats win. It'll be a lot easier for them to get what they want now. I mean, who would ever want to use "harsh methods.....in fighting terrorism?" Certainly, not a Democrat. I'm sure in the not too distant future we'll be seeing Democrats embarrassing terrorists all over the place and apologizing for ever having fought them in the first place.

Republicans don't give a rats behind about what anyone thinks of them, they are throwing tantrums because they will have to play by the rules now.

I welcome the happiness of most people with the results of our election. What scares me is Al qaeda is also happy as hell after their admitted attempt to influence our election.

If you care what Osama thinks, move to where he is at.
Most of the countries celebrating are not ones that were truely our friends anyway.
