There's a bump below my kneecap. It's like it's just swollen a little. It's been like that for about 4 weeks. I decided to ice it and after I did that, it started to hurt. It also hurts when I swing my leg when I walk. It doesn't hurt when I push on it or walk on it.

I've already asked this already so let me answer some more questions:

I'm 23 and the bump is on my left knee to the left of the lower sticky outie (very technical, I know) bone. It's wide and not a small bump.

The bottom bones of the knee are the Tibia (the big one) and the fibula (the little one on the outside of the leg). If there is a bump below your patella (knee cap) then it may be an excess amount of synovial fluid. This is the stuff that helps keep your knee working well (think of it as the WD-40 for joints) but if the sac that keeps it contained gets ruptured it can leak out and form a bumpy area. If you push it and it feels jelly like then that could be what it is. Either way you should go speak with a physician or a PT or OT or something with training to see what it is. It could be nothing or it could be a big problem that may result in the need for surgery.
Good luck.

Hurt from ice?
The painful reaction to ice (cold) indicates that it is a swelling needing Dinshah Yellow (warm color) or the homeopathic tissue salt Natrum Sulphuricum.

Want to try? For tissue salts ask your health food store, for Color*MedicineTM info you may want to check out http://www.biochakra.com
