I just read about some Black Woman Democrat who doesn't vote---WHY ON EARTH WOULD A PERSON NOT VOTE???
That means you are responsible for Bush being in office, troops being killed, tough setencing laws for black prisoners, etc.

My friend didnt know where to vote nor if they could!
and you know i went to vote on mine and their behalf and you are correct voting is a must!
and if you could you should send me the information of these women where you read this or you should contact as many of them as you can and become involved in changing there mind set right away!

I volunteered for the Kerry campaign in Volusia County Florida in 2004. I said that I wanted to canvas the Flagler Beach area that I was familiar with. Kerry's Boston organizers told me to get my white a$$ in the Daytona Beach hood and turn out the blacks.
You get the picture.
I don't blame blacks for not voting.

Here's a better question..... What's all this about race. The only reason that a person should not vote is if they are not informed and do not know who the are voting for.

... did you not know that? TONS of people don't vote, not just African Americans! That's nothing new. If everyone did, celebs wouldn't be campaigning so hard to press people to get off their a*ses to vote. However, I agree with you that those who do NOT partake in this wonderful democratic process do not have the right to b*tch about the way things are later on. That just plain pisses me off.

I'm not black, but I think it's safe to assume that the reasons some blacks don't vote are the same as why some whites don't vote. Why does everything have to be about color?

There are many people in both parties that don't vote, it has nothing to do with race.
