How can I tell my husband that he shattered a dream of mine? To be able to have a baby of my own? He is going to be setting up an appointment to get fixed so he won't be able to have any more children. What do I do? I want to be able to have at least one child of my own and he knows that, but he still insists that he is going to get fixed. Please help!!!

We have talked about this before but it is still the point that he keeps saying he wants to get fixed and he doesn't want another one.

If he has no children from another relationship already then he is being very selfish to deny you the opportunity to be a mother. However, if he has children that he is supporting he is probably worried about the additional costs and responsibilities. Are you willing to be a single mom? It could work out that way unless he is in agreement to have a child.

It sounds like your husband was married before and has children from that marriage. Before you and he were married, did you discuss having children together? Most couples do. I think if he knows that having a vasectomy when he knows you would like to have a child is very selfish.
He doesn't seem to have your dreams in mind.

Talk to him. Communication is key and he's not a mind reader even though you say he knows you want a child of your own. Did you guys not talk about this prior to marriage???

If you are young or attractive, kick him to the curb, and find someone else. If you aren't, tell him you will leave him anyway, maybe he will get scared. Also, wear a Jar Jar Binks t-shirt to raise Jar Jar awareness

Remind him people marry to have children and to keep the family going. tell him if he had planned to be fixed he should have told you that before you married. He lied to you if he did not tell you that before he married and tell him you will divorce him and find some one who will give you a child and share with you raising it.

You should have discussed how important this was to you before you were married. You say he doesn't want anymore, so he must already have some. Explain to him how he is hurting you and how you feel.
