It's not just you at all.
I find that songs these days are crap. They get a melody and play it on a loop while some singer talks over it, or simply..makes noise.
But maybe that's just me.

That is true. But taste in music is subjective. However the majority stations like Z100 have playlists that consist of all stupid hip-hop/r&b/pop/rap songs, with no variety. Such as Fergie. Her music sucks majorly, yet it is popular and is played a lot on pop music stations(I assume, I don't waste my time with them).
Another thing I have noticed about those stations is whenever they play a rock song, it ends up sounding both higher and faster than it really does. I don't know what they do to them, but it is very strange.

WAY too sold out. Pop music is a fade music, made only to apease the people of the time. the music thats going to stick around and bbe listened to is the more underground stuff in decades to come, bu thte pop music will forever be our symbol.

It's just you I guess, I mean, it depends on what kind of music you like. Personally, I don't like American music so I agree with you on this one

Some of the songs are NOT good at all. But, that's my opinion.
