Reading all the reviews on the internet I can't seem to find one that everyone one is completely happy with, or mostly happy with.

I don't think there is such a thing as the perfect phone. Everyone has their own opinions anyway. What you should be aiming for is finding the phone that is most suitable for you, even though it might not be the best one out there. But it's all up to you.

What features would you like to have (e.g. Bluetooth, camera, MP3, voice recorder, etc.)? Are you into a specific brand? Does the battery life and size of the phone matter to you? Ask yourself these questions.

A list of 'must haves' or an online quiz may help and guide you.

For reviews: find the phone with the least negative points. =)

I have heard a good number of horror thoughts about Cingular, TMobile and Verizon were extremely solid to me contained in the previous...although I have sprint I refuse to call their customer service because they're sooooooo out of the loop on each and every thing and are not operating for my satisfactions. They suck, yet i'm lower than settlement and stuck with them for yet another three hundred and sixty 5 days.

Depends alot on personall preference, network software and different stuff like "how cool it looks" for functionallity I'd go with a Motorola or an LG. if you go to this web site you can see impartial (somewhat) reviews for phones and carriers.

I am looking into a new phone and Verizon recommends the LG phones. They claim that they are the best ... but who knows they may have the highest mark up too so they can get their commission.
