how would you play this tab without the capo and still have it sound right?

just basically add 1 to all the numbers, it will be awkard to play though. your best bet is to buy a capo. its worth it.

well I have not heard the song so I'm not positive that you will get the desired sound but you can definitely grab the same chords it will just have a different tonal quality. for your first chord grab your C power chord and add you 4th scale degree you can do this by letting your pinky pick up that F on the B string then your E become an F major Barred chord and your A minor becomes a B flat power chord but as for the D flat looks like it can be changed into a Dmin7th chord. I hope this can help you out.
To find better voicing of these chords you can easily find web sites that have chord finders on them.
