what does it mean when there is smoke coming from my tailpipe and how can i fix it? Will it cost me alot?

i have whitish blue smoke soming from my tailpipe and was wondering what was causing it and how much it would cost

blue smoke is oil, white smoke would be antifreeze. most vehicles will have a little white smoke if the cat. converter is doing its job, it converts the exhaust emissions and produces some water when doing this. sounds like you might have a headgasket out.

Depends on what the smoke is. Most common is a head gasket and depending on your car thats $800 to $2000.

white smoke is anti-freeze leak and blue is oil and black is running too rich.
