More then one firewall will cause conflict with your system.
If you are going to use Nortons Firewall, you must go into your start=settings=control panel, and look for the badge shape icon that says. security center. Open and turn off Microsoft Windows firewall. Microsoft Windows firewall, only gives you one way protection. A true firewall as to give you incoming protection from rogue ports and outgoing protection from private data leaving your pc without your permission.
On a professional level I consider both garbage. (This is really not your issue).
I use http://www.zonealarm.com as I consider ZoneAlarm free version far superior to either Nortons or Windows.

USE only ONE SOFTWARE FIREWALL!
And understand that a Software Firewall is not as good as a HARDWARE FIREWALL...like in a Linksys WRT54G ROUTER.
Hardware Firewalls built into routers make the computer INVISIBLE on the internet, and no ports can be opened from the outside....BUT you can allow a port to be opened IF you ok the request FROM within your computer....that's how a Firewall works! So protect yourself, and you only need 1 Firewall....But I prefer the Rock Solid Firewall built into all routers.....

first things first, never use to firewalls at the same time. having them both enabled would slowdown your processes consequently causing conflict on your computer's system.
with windows firewall, its just an added feature from having a service pack 2. it works , but, from my experience, that good.
and tech support is not that vast.
with norton, you might have to pay for it. it has tech support but the it does take too much space.
i might have to go with norton.
