how to search through internet effectively?

i understand that internet or world wide web is the largest information center on earth,but some how i am unable to locate directly to the information which i required....maybe its because that i m new wit PC???can anyone guide me??thanks...

searching is so easy it's like falling down. but you have to know how to filter your searches to get the best results.
