Yes, Rahul Dravid can be a wicket keeper, if required. But why ??
Dhoni is doing the job as per teams requirement. Rahul is a top class batsman, let him concentrate on his batting and captaincy if required he will take charge of wicketkeeping in absence of Dhoni.
Combination of Indian team will look like be balanced if we play with 5 batsman,4 bowlers and 2 all rounders(1 wicketkeeper batsman and other bowler- batsman)
Dinesh Karthik is in form nowdays, but very difficult to get a birth in Indian team, because we have in form Dhoni and substitute wicket keeper Rahul already in the team.

But Dhoni is an excellent batsman, also in form, as well.
He is'nt a makeshift keeper like Dravid.
It is true that Dravid keeping in World Cup 2003
contributed to India's success.Dravid used to keep to give the
team a good balance.
But, there was no Dhoni then
So, he(Dhoni) will be in the team anyways, and Dravid can
concentrate only on his batting.
Kaif will have to be replaced by Dhoni .Dhoni has played much better than him recently. Not,that Kaif is a bad player, but
Dhoni's performance will see him in the side .
best regards,

He is a part-time Wicket Keeper. May be for 1 or 2 matches. Not for the entire series.

Though Rahul Dravid has been keeping wicket, he is not a professional wicket keeper and as such he should not keep
wickets on regular basis. Only in emergencies he can keep wicket. Since M.S. Dhoni is a good batsman in one day matches and he has shown improvement in his wicket keepig only he should be persisted with.

i had seen his keeping once when he had replaced injured keeper, that was just fine....cant say superb as he is not professional keeper.... wont be a good idea...he is best as a player. i feel wicket keeping is bit stressful job....and wht i think that Dravid can't withhold the stress well, it will be an additional burden for him , n will effect his batting skills even captaincy is a burden for him.........but i think there no need to think of that possibility as u have Dhoni alreay there n he is doing his job well..

U still consider sehwag as a "Pro" batsmen?? now with just few mnths left U want laxman in the team who has'nt played one-day cricket since ages??? plus u consider balaji and nehra as "pro" bowlers for us? when sum1 like Pathan too cannot yet cement his place in the team???
watch out wad yr sayin' man....is that Criket u r talkin' bout or some other sport??
