I know this may sound outspoken, but at what point are you striving too hard to "relive" your life as you imagined. How can you reverse that?

There are lots of self help books which might be helpful. I suggest making positive confessions to yourself most of the day. Things like, "I am getting better and better every day." "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." etc.

I would have to say that the point is when you realize that it isn't working for you and its to much work. I would say you are at that point now because you are asking this question. The way to reverse it is to sit down alone with no distractions and think about what is bothering you about your life and what are some realistic goals to change them. What do you say to your self when things bother you. When they do stop the process in your mind and say I don't think like that any more this is what I do now. Take small steps and set small realistic goals and in time you will be better off. Then one day something will happen and you will automatically think different and you will be proud of your self.

You can't relive your life, but you can plan better and make it better by doing things you wanted to do but never found time to, or make yourself a better person by achieving something etc. It's about making the most of life with every moment you are given.
