equation

1.4n=-21
add 1n on each side

n=-15
divide both sides by 1.4

n is just a variable like x, consider the equation 0.4x=-21-x then get all the x's on one say now its basic algera. 0.4x+x=-21, so 0.5x=-21 then x=-21/0.5, then break it down from there hope this helps u

now, move -n to the other side, so

1.4n=-21

now, divide -21 by 1.4, so you have

n=-21/1.4

thus,

n=-15
