Disney is popular because it is idealistic. Every story ends in a happy ending for the dashing hero and beautiful heroine. The bad guy is usually unhappy, ugly looking, and miserable. They make everything, including life to be perfect, happy, and optimistic. People love it because it's hard to find a happy ending and innocent movie in today's movie theaters. Most importantly, Disney is like an icon of simple happiness in a dark world.

Because it's so much fun. Even adults collect Disney items, and visit the Disney parks. It's a wonderland of fantasy that you can walk right into....blending with reality. The characters are all pretty cool, too. Disney is and will always be timeless lighthearted and childlike fun for all!

A lot of the Disney movies do have a deeper and more respectable plot than a lot other kid shows, that even kids themselves don't like too much (I was particular a fan of the more realistic movies of Disney when a child, Pocahantas, Mulan, Anastasia, movies like that). But thankfully as I grew older I was able to find more sophiscated animation with a story plot that i can relate to. Something that shows the world for what it is, and world for what it's not (anime).

The intelligence level of most of their movies plateau around the age of 9 or 10.
Although, I did like Lilo & Stitch. That was pretty funny.
