My husband is a physician, he knows all about menopause yet he acts like Im the first one to get it. At night he yells at me when my hot flashes come because I disturb his sleep when I kick the covers. Well my sleep is disturbed more than once a night. I try to turn on the ceiling fan and during the night he turns it off because of some little dinging noise. It is not as loud as his snoring. I feel so helpless and so hurt by his non compassion. We women have the periods, then the kids, then this......

Menopause is quite stressful and it is good that you are well informed about this problem. Your husband should have treated you with compassion and adjusted with your problems. I hope you might be taking these two tablets one each daily:
1.Tab Menopace
2.Tab Shellcal

I think you are unaware about the fact that males also have menopause type of period in the same age because of hormonal disturbances. They have all the same problems what you have except the hot flashes. You can very well imagine his mental state.

Please visit webmd.com and both of you should collect information about the problem of male and female menopause.

Please be considerate with him… he is in need of compassion from you as you do from him…

Sit together and talk… All the best for you lovely couple…

Sleep in a different room. Or convnce him, if you can to sleep in another room.
My wife is currently going through menopause and I feel that I treet her much better than you indicate in your question/statement.
Please do not generalise, not all men treat our wives badly. We can be and often are compassionate. We do have a friend though, whose husband whinges to us about his wife's hot flushes. I feel it is something personal and shouldn't be discussed so openly in front of another couple.
My wife and I go out often. We also paddle kayaks together, we cycle together. That ain't treating her like 'poo', as you stated.
