I lived near the causeway. If possible, can you tell me which bus/coach company to take and the price for the trip? Thanks.

I went to Kuantan in February, took a bus from Lavender Street opposite Singapore Casket, ticket cost me about S$20, journey time is around 7 hours. If you want a cheaper way, and don't mind the trouble, take a bus from Kranji or Woodlands to Johor Baru Bus Terminal, and get the ticket there, price is around S$10 (look for transnational bus counter). It is the most economical way.

The most economical is to take a bus from Lavender. Journey is about 10 hours. Food and drink is provided and note that this are night travelling time. Tickets must be pre-purchased.

I agree a bus is the cheapest way and also agree that you should go across to Johor and take the bus from there. The prices are much cheaper than catching a bus direct from Lavender.

i think you could catch a flight with airasia from kuantan to KL then catch a flight from KL to JB, after that you take the causeway bus which will take you to singapore. When there's promotion for the air tixs, it might be even cheaper than taking coach.
