For all you neo-cons who can't put 2 and 2 together...I just dissed 3 prominent members of our government (1 of which has finally resigned). Rumsfeld, Bush and Cheney, respectively.

Glad, relieved, and very happy. King George's reign is over, the people have spoken, gotta love it.

Actually, they still possess a tremendous amount of power that can have long-term affects to the new Congress and Senate.

Just remember, the shift in power doesn't take place until January 2007.

In the mean time, you'll see a rash of resignations and new appointments by the current House/Senate. Or, during the holidays, when the Senate/Congress is in recess, the President can make appointments without Congressional/Senatorial confirmation hearings (Presidential recess appointments- Article II, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution).

To repeat a cliche, what a difference a day makes! Since Bush was "re-elected" (or whatever it was that happened in Ohio) I have been searching for a country I could live in. With Bush spending his political capital right and left and mortgaging our kid's and grand kid's future, I have been mourning. Problems with hacking e-voting machines were so alarming and loss of rights and freedoms made things seem mighty grim.

There is light at the end of the tunnel! Hope abounds. Drain the swamp, Nancy. Take a hike Rummy. Life is good.

One day after victory and already I'm pissed. Nancy Pelosi is already backing off a tough stance on Iraq. We're wasting billions on this useless war and thousands are dying, and now it sounds like the Dems want to stay! Un-freakin believable. OUT OF IRAQ NNNNNNOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!

Thank God...if only we were rid of "The Shrub" too! (By the way I've never heard of him referred to as "The Shrub", I love it!)

I can't agree more. It would've been better if Harold Ford Jr. won. But, I'm satisfied that the Democrats have majority control in Congress now.

Forgive my political ignorance. Who or what is "The Shrub"? And who do you think has more "power" now?
