She was the band, so to speak..
She usually just went by her own name.

But she did collaborate with a band called
Meatloaf for a while.

To the best of my knowledge, Bonnie Tyler has always been a soloist. She had a hit in the 70's with "Lost In France", then had an operation to remove nodules from her vocal chords. The operation altered the sound of her voice, giving her the trademark gravelly sound. She had massive hits in the 70's with "It's A Heartache" and in the 80's with the Jim Steinman song "Total Eclipse Of The Heart", and "Holding Out For A Hero" from the movie "Footloose".
Bonnie recently toured here in Australia, and I have to say, she looks fantastic!
