How do you mod on halo 2?

There's soft modding and "hard" modding

Soft mods are software only, Hard mods use hardware chips.

Xbox Live will ban you if you connect to their system with either type on your xbox, including even "action replay". They are talking about doing IP address mask bans soon, which means they can ban your household from connecting to it.

I'd hate to do that and find-out I can't take Halo 3 online because I got impatient.

I'd recommend going to http://www.halomods.com which is full of mod tutorials for Halo 1 on PC.. Then when Halo 2 comes out on PC (early next year) you'll be in a good spot to figure-out how to mod THAT one too.. without getting banned.

That's just me though.. other than that.. the easiest way to mod, and also the cheapest (but possibly the least satisfying?) is to use action replay.

Buy Action Replay from like Walmart, then go to the off codejunkies usa site to download the stuff you need there, then change the drivers of the usb docking station to the action replay ones .

But again.. if you connect to Bungie with Xbox live with any of that on your system, Bungie's system will detect it and ban you, whether you use it or not.

First off, don't mod. It's cheap, it's annoying, and it's a great way to get you banned from Xbox Live.

But if you really insist, you'll have to go search google for some Xbox Live modding hardware.

After that, you'll probably have to order it and then open up your Xbox (make sure you know what you're doing) and install it yourself.

It's not that easy to do.
