Republicans have constantly during this campaign spoken many false statements about their opponenets and on this message board to evne voice an opinion if your'e a democrat brought immediate hateful things said can we all work together now as one since the truth is here and the Dems rule

I understand both sides have said mean things but when your president lies to everyone it makes it hard to believe in that party since other Republicans slammmed anyone who spoke the truth about Bush now the people have spoken their unhappiness and many crossed party lines yesterday due to that fact It;s not the republican party that i have a problem with but the many politicians that do so much wrong while making big issues when it's a democrat doing wrong. The thing is they all get caught eventually and truth prevails

This is the truth. There is no room for being Politically correct, there is no room for respect, compromise. The partisan rhetoric and negative sniping will not go away. We are now a Nation Divided, Just like back during the war in Viet-nam. The big issue for many voters was the war in Iraq. Impeachment starts in the House and will start in two months. If Democrats take the Senate then we will have the votes there. Sadly but truthfully this is the path that the Democrats must take. When Republicans impeached Clinton they knew they did not have the votes in the Senate, they went for it anyway only to drag down Clinton. Politics is a dirty mean game and you either get in or get out.

This coming from a party that has offered NOTHING but hate and negativism's for 6 years. You don't expect the Republicans to roll over now and actually HELP you implement your socialistic and anti-American programs, do you? You need to come to the table with some constructive and practical policies that the Republicans can deal with. What the American people have done is told you democrats that you have 2 years to do something, or else. Witch hunts for impeachment, raising taxes and cutting & running from Iraq ARE NOT what they expect!!!!

In my district, Amy Klobuchar (Minnesota) beat Mark Kennedy 65% to 35%, Kennedy had nothing but attack ads, Klobuchar stuck to the issues...people saw that and voted accordingly. I see most Republicans being civil and working together, but there are many also that insist that this country needs to be dominated by Republicans in order for the nation to be a better place...I so much disagree with them, they are a part of the "culture of hatred" bred by Rush and O'Reilly. You haven't heard the last of extremist politics, but I think the common person has spoken to them by voting their conscience.

I am disturbed by this polarizing statement. You want your opponents to help you, but you sit here and admonish them? That ain't how ya get help from an adversary, lady.

But, since my party saw no changes, I have nothing to gain or lose, here. I would love to see the two biggest power monopolies in the world finally get together and do something worthwhile. I hope they do. But, I'm not holding my breath.
