How can you tell a fake emerald from a real one???

Man made emeralds are usually dark green. Natural are usually lighter in color but of course still green. Natural stones you can see into the stone, man made you usually can not.

You might try long wave U.V. light, man made emeralds will fluoresce a dull red color, were real one will not, You also might trying wikipedia for some more information that is were I got mine at.
