Vietnam is blow to the senses. From the old buildings in Hanoi to the crazy wild west feel of Saigon. Its an amazing place. In the north you have the beauty of Ha-long bay of the east coast. Beaches stretch all the way down this coast while inland you have jungles and some cooler highlands. from north to south there are so many diff cuisines and remnants from old Asia. It is truly a sight.
When you get south you can see the amazing jungles along the Mekong delta, or to the east the artisan town of Hoi An. The landscape is beautiful though falling prey to the get rich quick schemes endemic to so many places trying to grab the tourist dollar.
Go to yahoo...type in Vietnam Photos. There are thousands of sights to see. I was just looking at some myself remembering my trip from 2 years ago.

I lived in Nha Trang for 3 years and spent one year of that as construction manager for the Ana Mandara Resort, the most beautiful beach resort in the country.
My memories are of noise, hassles, beauty, great food, even on the street, and when boredom struck, Saigon, as I call it still, is a blast.
There are also the most beautiful schoolgirls in the world, and I don't mean that sexually. They waft past on their old fashioned bicycles with the long white ao-dai uniforms blowing in the wind, laughing and gossiping.
I guess I loved it there, just the noise that got me, but maybe it's quietened down now, my last trip was 1995 and the communist speakers were still blaring out propaganda on street corner posts!
