i dont want to spend alot of money on a bunch of different car seats (infant, toddler, booster) so im hoping that a convertable one will do the trick....these car seats are from 5-65lbs...just wondering what your experience with them has been, or if you have any reccomendations along the lines of carseats.

We have the decathalon and love it. Our little guy outgrew his infant carrier at 4 months so we had to get it then. He is very happy in it and compared to other seats I have seen he looks real comfy. I did a lot of research on them and the bitax have the highest safety ratings and have been around for a lot of years. I also like that the weight goes up so high because most only go up to 40 lbs, then you have to buy ANOTHER seat. Since we have a big guy we liked the idea of the higher weight class. All in all we are very happy with ours and feel that the money was well spent for the safety of our child, and we will definitely buy another for our next.

We have 2 Marathons and LOVE them!
They are pricey but Britax makes the safest carseat on the market!
Easy to use, lots of features, great fabrics, very safe, easy to install and it goes up to 65 pounds while still using the 5 point harness.

THEY ARE fabulous car seats... But you may want to get an infant bucket type to carry your baby in and out of stores.

when you get a car seat make sure you fill out the information slip so they can notify you of a recall. Also one of my children cried alot in it until I noticed when cleaning it it had no padding or cushion so it must have been really uncomfortable! But we usually got the least expensive brand they grow out of them fast.
