I would say either Dick Durbin (Illinois) or Hillary Clinton (New York) or Barack Obama (Illinois)! Those three seem to be the party leaders anyway!

Hillary Clinton, Charles Schumer, Barbara Boxer - those are all powerful names. Obama hasn't been there long enough and hasn't introduced any significant legislation yet - right now, he's just an interesting footnote. Dick Durbin of Illinois, Joe Biden of Delaware are also possibilities and good choices.
