Just a few years ago noone ever even dared mention the word "Marijuana" in or around the whitehouse, now I hear it almost every week. I have a very very good feeling it will finally be legalized for medicinal use, but what about recreational. Does anyone even have a plan written up on how they would enact it and/or what the new laws would look like?

I'm thinking it is a real possibility now. I live in the state of Oregon where the medical marijuana program is up and running strong. I'm thinking that if they did decide to make it federally legal then they would leave it up to the states to make their own laws concerning it.

As far as legalizing recreational use, I don't think we'll be seeing that anytime soon. But who knows. We musn't forget to vote!!

The only concern I would have is that the majority of people presently in rehab are going there on my taxes.

The fact is, there are many, many people in this country who can't even use alcohol responsibly (DUI, assaults and other crimes, etc....) and it all costs society dearly both financially and in human suffering.
Why would anyone want to add yet another log on this fire - it's already out of control.

I'd like to see the legalization of every controlled substance. Let people poison themseleves however they want...

unfortunately, no. The government as a whole has too much invested in the war on drugs to make pot legal.
