"How can I tell when my period is coming?
There may be signs. There may not be. For some girls, the signs that their periods are going to start are: tender breasts, feeling tense, and swelling of the abdomen or other parts of the body. Sometimes there's a crampy feeling in the back, legs, or abdomen. Some girls get pimples a few days before. As you get older, you will become more familiar with signs that your period is coming. This will help you be prepared."

You calculate the days. Most women have a 28 day cycle and 32 day cycle. During the time you ovulate, it depends if you're stressed or what not. Because if you do stress out and worry so much about when you are going to have your period, then you're ovulation will lag and so you will have you're period later. So when you finally ovulate, it takes exactly 14 days until you menstrate. Then the cycle starts all over again.
So the time after your period to ovulation changes, but from ovulation to menstruation is exactly the same.

I always get really bad crampy feelings, so bad that I can hardly stand up. That's when I know I'm about to get my period. A lot of women also experience getting grumpy or short tempered, bloating breast tenderness, etc etc...
