I quit smoking when i found out i was pregnant but i used to smoke before that and my partner had never touched a cigarette in his life. He actually didnt mind it because he came from a family of smokers and was just used to the smell. But seeing ive given up, he has told me he doesnt want me starting again.
I just think of the money situation after my bub is born. My baby deserves that money more than me getting a kick of cancer every day!

I will answer from the nonsmoker point of view. I don't smoke. Never have - never will. Two years ago I lost my Mom from tongue and throat cancer due to her smoking. I feel very strongly about it.
I met the man of my dreams and learned he was a smoker. I have had a rough time getting used to it. I still smell smoke on everything I wear. I don't mind him smoking in the house because it is HIS house, too. I don't mind him smoking because he is old enough to understand what he is doing to himself, and he has smoked his entire life.
I would be extremely happy if he did not smoke, but I fell in love with him as he is. If that includes smoking, then I will live with it.

I do not smoke, but my wife does. I cannot stand for her to smoke, but she does not care what I or anyone else has to say, she will not stop for no one.
She keeps using the excuse, she will quit when they lower the price on the cigarette patch. She has been saying that for a year now, but that is not going to happen soon.
I do not let her smoke in the house, but now that it is getting colder I am afraid that she will start smoking in the garage.
I cannot stand the smell of smoke on a person when I am lying next to them in bed.
I will probably put a label flammables in the van, that way she will not try smoking in the van when we go somewhere.

I don't smoke but if you're a smoker and your spouse is not, u should at least be considerate about smoking in front of them. U don't want them breathing in second hand smoke.

My husband smokes, and always has.
It was his only flaw so I figured I could deal with it. He never smokes in the house but he smokes in the car.
I think its a disgusting habit, and he smells bad. I think that it hinders our sex life because he stinks like a cigarette all the time,
and I only smell like a skunk.

the real question is do both of you smoke if not there is always a little weird slience when you want to go smoke unless you have been married for years and she is use to it....mine does not. we have only been together for 3 years and shes cool with me smoking because i smoked when she met me. if she has a problem with it sit down and talk to her about it. if you want to keep smoking and she is against it then shes not with you for who you really are thats my point.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion...but my opinion is smoking is a filthy habit and I don't smoke and I even asked my boyfriend of 3 years to quit when we first started dating and he hasn't been smoking ever since. :D
