I feel that i have to help her poop using suppositories, which i hate to do to her, but after i help her she seems relieved and calms down. When she poops it watery and sometime sticky looking, and very dark. What can i do to help her???

My daughter had similar problems. Instead of using suppositiories, use a rectal thermometer, just don't insert in too far. Her doctor also recommended giving her an ounce of CLEAR pedialyte in the morning and at nite till she gets over it. Something about it helped her poop. If you have started feeding her solids, or if you switched formulas that can cause constipation. But if you are unsure you should always call your babies doctor, they will answer your questions.

Definitley go see your doctor. My daughter is about 5 months and I know we have started baby foods. So if that is something you have recently started it could have something to do with that. It is very hard to tell... but that is what the doctors are trained for! Definitley go see him/her! In the mean time when my daughter seems to have a tummy ache I hold her legs up for her... like scrunch them up and I message her tummy. Maybe that will help. Good luck... I hope everthing gets better soon.

if the child is breastfed, this might be "normal". My 4 month old poops every few days, and the reason her poop is dark is because I give her vitamin drops with iron in them. Talk to your doctor. It may hurt you to see them in so much pain, but it's probably not a dire situation. It took me a minute to get used to it, but I have.

Take the baby to the doctor. It could be her diet or her body reacting to food allergies. It could be nothing but take her to the doctor. As parents we should not hesitate taking our children to see the Pediatrician. That's what they are there for. In parenting, if your instinct says there's something wrong, chances are there's something wrong. My son was reacting strangely when wined from breast milk to formula...I found out he was allergic to dairy.

Definitely consult your doctor. It sounds like your baby is constipated, probably due to formula consumption. If nothing else, hearing the doctor tell you it's okay will ease your mind.

Take the child straight to the Hospital, or the nearest Medical centre.

let him drink plenty of water. For the mean time don't feed him bananas and apples and meat. Crushed papayas and mangoes will help. Let him eat soft rice and oat meals.

Take her to the doctor because that doesn't sound good.
