for the first type of problem--60% of ? =45, you take 60% (which is the same as .6) and make the ? an x. Of always means multiply, so it becomes .6x=45. simply divide both sides by .6 and x=75.

For the second type--what % of 90 is 63, you just set it up the same way. 90X=45. divide by 90 and you get .5 or 50%

The final type--39% of 1500, you simply multiply .39 by 1500 to get 585

Now that you know how to do each type of problem, simply plug the right numbers into the equations and finish your homework. Good luck.

This is the relationship of percentages.
What percent of 90 is 63?
63/90=x
.75=x
75%
To get any of the others simply enter in the formula the parts you have and work it from there.
Example:
60% of what is 45?
45/x=.60
45=.60x
45/.60=x
75=x
This works for all percentage problems. Remember that any percentage(45%) is written as a decimal.(.45) Any percentage above 100(150) would be a whole plus the decimal.(1.5)

all you have to do is times that is the percent in decimal form to the number that isnt a percent. EX: 0.25 X 92 = 23. so 23 is 25% of 92. and for a number over 99% EX: 150. you would divide by 100. and it would be 1.5

To multiply with percentages, first divide by 100, so 60% = 0.60

0.60 x = 45; x = 45 / 0.60 (divide both sides by the same number) = 75

63 / 90 = 0.70 = 70% (answer multiplied by 100)

160 x 8.25% = 160 x 0.0825 = 13.2

The rest should be easy.

all you have to do is convert the percent into a decimal

think of dr. pepper

or D2P

if you have a percent you move the decimal 2places to the left

so 60% would be .60

now you multiply .60 x 45=27

remedy for x for the first equation: 2x=4+2y, now devide by 2 each and each and every area x=2+y, now replace this into equation #2 for x: 3(2+y)+2y=11 and remedy for Y, so 6+3y+2y=11 5y=11-6 ----> Y=a million, now replace this for equation #a million and remedy for X 2x-2(a million)=4 2x=4+2 X=3 So we arive at X=3, and Y=a million you may attempt this for both equation, it doesn't count number with wich one you commence first.

example
25% of what is 92

25x=92/100
x=92/100(25)
x=23

another

150% of what is 26
150x=26/100
x=26/100(150)
x=39

so your formula will be
