i was introduced to this widower psychologist and claimed she can see people's aura. She said i have a nice perfect stand ,body and appealing look. But what puzzled me was that part of the statement. In other culture, food is associated with sex, i don't know about filipinos. I did not made any remarks about her connotation, besides, i'm sexually refined, meaning sex for me is sacred and only be done with the married partner with love, sharing, funs. The last fronteir for others to reach.

It may not be sexual. It could mean just food and to watch out for your diet healthwise. Having food near you could offer temptation so just be careful. If this is too literal for you, then you could put any meaning into it. Temptation is all around you, food could mean something else like a weakness you have for something.

I am a Filipino and i am not aware that Food is associated with sex. To my knowledge, "food" when put into a local context connotation
would mean "graces" or "gifts". Because "food on the table" is seen as graces from the Lord. It is a reflection on the influence of Christianity to the Filipino culture. Thus, if i were to quess what "malapit saiyo ang pagkain" would mean after saying that you have a nice perfect stand, body and appealing look : it would mean than "because you are beautiful, many graces will come your way."

"Malapit sa iyo ang pagkain."
I think what that fortune telling psychologist meant was that you will always live life filled with blessings. And one of these blessings, we all know, is the abundance of food. There are too many Filipinos living in poverty; and the poor have always cried that they can no longer afford to buy even the most basic of food staples in this country. That is why there are so many Filipinos wanting to possess this lucky streak of having food always near their auras. This represents that they will always have the financial resources to be able to provide food for themselves and for their families. So, this lucky streak is the blessing. The blessing is wealth. And with wealth, there is food.
"Malapit sa iyo ang pagkain."
For you, food is just nearby.
So, cheer up, man! This woman sees in you that you have a rosy future! Filipinos do not usually associate food with sex. We associate food with a life that's richly blessed!
Have a good day! :)

Malapit sa iyo ang pagkain means, Yes, food is near to you or Food is just within your reach. Since, she said you have that nice body and an appealing look. She have been attracted to you, or she simply means that girls always look up to you, or attracted to you in any ways.

"Ladies are just arround you". Malapit means near, pagkain means food, but your story is about sex, maybe she just used a metaphor, she actually means that you can easily get the girl you like beacuse she is just near you.

literally, this would mean food is just close to you....
If we go deeper, this would mean that grace is close to you. As you said, you've got the looks and everything, right? This would mean that you don't need to suffer a lot to survive for you can make things easy like you can easily find a job, you can easily find someone to love you, etc....
