I don't think their is an easy answer to that. It all depends on the individual, their up bringing and beliefs. You can try to get into a hobby with him to give him something to take his mind off whatever is driving him but that’s only temporary. Have you tried talking to him? Tell him how you feel, not the I feel like your an idiot or your a tight A** but the I know you take your responsibilities seriously and I am grateful but I feel alone because I have a hard time talking with you or having fun like we used too. I'm afraid of us growing apart and I don't know what to say but I love you. Also apologize if you have been critical or hurtful that helps to clear the air if he feels you've been punishing him for what he believes is taking care of business and you. Don't blame yourself either. If he doesn't respond right away give him time he's thinking its proven men take much longer to process info. Women have 12 nerves to our 6. (Medical fact) Be honest and try to see from his perspective and ask if he can see from yours. Most problems even like this are from communication gaps and misunderstandings or interpretations. No ones at fault remember that. I know it’s a pain and you have no reason to listen to me and I nothing to gain from you listening. It only takes one harsh word to destroy some one and 20 to build them back. Men are notorious for hiding all feeling and being cold but the truth is that we don't notice... We don't notice emotion as well but we wouldn't hurt someone we love intentionally you just have to find a way to express it to him so he understands. Good Luck

Sure I can laugh at some of the things I do. Shave your head, dye your hair purple, get a temp tattoo of MOM on your fore arm, eat crackers in bed, run thru the house nude, watch a documentary of WWII on the discovery channel. Beg your husband to let you mow the lawn the next time it needs mowing. Put baby clothes on your cat or dog. Buy a pacifier and suck on it. Pick your nose and flip boogers at him. That one always breaks the ice.

OH YES !!!!!!!!!!! I have no trouble at all,,laughing at myself...Sometimes it is more fun than a barrel of monkeys...I really like to think I have a great sense of humor....
I guess you would have to try and joke around with your hubby and try and get him to play funny games and just silly stuff to maybe get him to see things in a humorous way instead of being so serious.....

Lead by example.
I've found that I can tell my guy that I wrecked the car but done in the right tone it changes the whole presentation.
If he doesn't catch on, you have a real chore on your hands there. He is what he is.
