I did, but it is trial and error give it a try and see if your baby can handle it ok with no upset tummy or gas in small amounts then work up if all seems fine then it should be ok;)

Well, if you're starting off on rice cereal, use one flavor, and not mixed. Because you have to be carefull about allergies. And there is no set up time. To stop breastfeeding, if you decide too(Which is the best idea, since the milk is made specificly to that baby), the baby should be anywhere in between 4 months to 1 year. And progress from breastfeeding.

As long as your baby has been eating rice cereal for about a week with no allergic reaction, you can start introducing pureed fruits and vegetables.
Pediatricians recommend introducing new foods at the rate of one per week. Basically, as long as your baby has tried the new food three or four times with out showing any negative reaction (skin rash, fussiness, gassiness, hives, diaper rash), it's safe to move on to the next new food.
Enjoy watching your little one discover new flavors!
PS (Below are some helpful links regarding infant feeding and when to introduce certain types of foods.)

About the same time you give regular rice cereal. But only fruits approved for babies.

Once they have been eating the rice cereal for a couple of weeks, with no allergic reaction, you can start adding fruit. Try one fruit at a time for a couple of weeks. That way you can isolate anything that is causing an allergy.

If you're talking about mashed or pureed, you can start around 6 months or whenever you start them on baby food. Just remember, fruit can be acidic to the baby's stomach which is why you should start with non-citrus fruits (bananas)

That's a stage 3 food so around 9 months unless your pediatrician says sooner is ok.
