how many follicles on each ovary should you get when on clomid? what is the average? should you have big follicles on both ovaries?

sorry, some more information: i know i only had 2 on my right ovary (where i am missing a tube) and none on my left. my dr. made it seem like this was normal, but i really wanted personal experience/knowledge b/c i don't know that i trust my dr.'s answers. i live in a rural area so there are no fertility specialists and he's as close as it gets so it's not an option for me to find another dr. thank you so much for any help.

It varies from woman to woman, some have only one, some have a few. You will probably get several follicles on each side but not all will mature. They will do follicle checks by vaginal ultrasound every few days until they get you ovulating. Usually you will spontaneously ovulate after one or more follicles reach 20. It is very possible to only ovulate from one ovary, that is normal when you are on Clomid and it doesn't necessarily switch sides each month. I am now going through this same procedeure and taking Clomid.
