I've just finished my first novel: "The FUN in dysFUNctional." Which is about a South African certified crazy family, set in 2003. The story is told in the first person and the narrator is trying to lead a normal life while being obstructed by his mad relatives. The relatives cause chaos and disrupt the narrator's inhibited existence. The manuscript is off at a professional editor at the moment. Once I have made the corrections, she suggests, I'll try and sell it. I'll only decide on a pen name if it gets published but I am thinking of David Fox or something similar.

While I am waiting for my editor to get her car fixed and to finish a real estate sale I've started my second book. This is set in a little town in the Northwest of South Africa. It's about a police inspector called Tau Samson Sepeng. (Tau is Tswana/Sotho for lion). It's a series of violent deaths and near deaths with a South African flavour. There is death by Tokoloshe (Africa's mini-version of big foot), the lightning bird (the blue crane that drops eggs that cause thunder and lightning according to tribal lore), black mamba (the most poisonous snake in South Africa) and a whole lot more. There is the answer to the question: "why was the corpse of a woman in her wedding dress lying in the veld?" I'm trying to describe post apartheid reconciliation and racism as part of the underlying theme.
