They know the vote isn't valid, since they've been disenfranchising the votes. The ironic thing is that they actually think challenging the validity of the vote will HELP their count!

for those of you (alex the PostHoleDigger and others) who keep claiming that a recount is 'automatic' or 'mandatory' in virginia, check your facts...under virginia law, any candidate who loses by less than one percent MAY request a recount...but the losing candidate has to initiate the process...it is not mandatory OR automatic

The action now going on is state mandated. The Republican party will not back Allen on seeking a recount even if he wanted one there is nothing other that a re-printout to be obtained.

Gore did the same in 2000. Legally the vote must be recounted if the margain is less than 1% in Virginia, its state law there. Allen had nothing to do with it, and Webb can do nothing to stop it

no, they will do anything to win. >:( hey, i remember a certain incident about the voting mishap in florida when bush was running......... it just so happens that george's brother is the governer........ hmmmmmmm........... a little similarity there........ most republicans have the knowledge on how to win....... and sometimes that means doing the wrong thing. are you democrat?

The recount is mandatory because of how close the race was!!!!

No republican or democrat called for a recount, the state did because of the law!!!!!!!!
